How Much Hair do my Clients Need?

When it comes to estimating how much hair your clients will need - is something learned with more extension installs carried out.
It also depends on whether you and your client are wanting to add thickness as well as length, or just adding colour to the hair such as a peek-a-boo highlighting effect.
It is worth noting that it’s better to have some hair left over to keep as spare whilst the customer comes in for maintenance - these can be swapped in place for broken or lost pieces of extensions once the client is on their hair extensions journey.

For added thickness only:
Fine Hair - 25-50g
Fine/Medium Density - 50g
Medium/Thick Density- 50g

For added thickness and length up to 20 inches (natural look):
Fine Hair - 100g
Fine/Medium Density - 100-125g
Medium/Thick Density - 125g
Thick Density - 150g

For added thickness and length from 20 inches to 30 inches:
Fine Hair - 125g
Fine/Medium Density - 125-150g
Medium/Thick Density - 150g
Thick Density - 175-200g

For added flecks of colour such as peek-a-boo highlighting:
Fine Hair - 25g
Fine/Medium Density - 25-50g
Medium/Thick Density - 50g
Thick Density - 50-75g
